Fire - Amazon's New Smartphone Hits The Shelves
When Amazon first released it’s Kindle Fire tablet back in 2011 it shook the world of digital gadgetry by it’s quality, low price and wide range of features and apps included. 3 years later, the Original Kindle Fire scores a whopping 4 stars (out of five possible) based on over 22,000 Amazon reviews.

Why am I telling you all these? Because Amazon is getting ready to release their first smartphone to the markets – The Amazon Fire. The Fire is set to release next month (July 25th, 2014) and comes with a 4.7″ screen (1280 x 720 resolution with 315ppi), a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.2GHz processor, Adreno 330 graphics, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage, 4G, Bluetooth, NFC and runs on Fire OS 3.5.0 which is an Android based operating system.Amazon Fire Components View With 3D Dynamic Perspective Explanation

Kablam - The Ultimate Smartphone Screen Protector
A while back we introduced you to the Rhino Shield which is a great way to protect your smartphone screen against any kinds of impacts. The Rhino shield is available for a range of devices and manufacturers such as Apple, Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG and Motorola.

But what if you have a different brand of phone? What if you want to protect your tablet screen or your smart watch? What about your digital camera‘s screen or your MP3?
Kablam is the answer. Kablam is a 0.01-in (0.26mm) thick polymer screen protector (that’s 0.03mm less thicker than the Rhino shield) designed to efficiently protect your gadget’s screen. The Kablam features anti-shock absorption layers, crystal clear transparency with anti-fingerprint and anti-scratch technology.
Apart the thickness (0.03 mmm less than the Rhino Shield) and the price (about half price than the Rhino Shield) what’s really outstanding about the Kablam is that it can be configured to any gadget screen. Simply let the manufacturer know the device you intend to use it with when you place your order and they’ll deliver you the proper size to fit your screen!

The Kablam is in project mode at Kickstarter and you can secure one for as low as $5 US for smart watches, $7 US for digital cameras and MP3 players, $12 US for smartphones or $20 US for any type of tablet. Delivery scheduled for August 2014.

Breffo Spiderpodium Universal Smartphone Holder - Car Mount On Ventilation System
A while back we featured the Spiderpodium smartphone holder here on CoolPile.com.
Now we’re back with a full hands-on review, a lot of pictures, a complete review Youtube video as well as with some new thoughts about what is deemed to be one of the most versatile smartphone stands and car holders out there.

First, the Spiderpodium is a bit bigger than I expected based on the pictures I checked on the Breffo.com website. And this is good news, because it offers an even better grip and I was hoping! The smartphone holder sports 8 legs covered in a rubbish material which serve both securing the phone as well as positioning the Spiderpodium on almost any type of surface. The smartphone holder works with all phones up to 5″ including iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S series, LG G series and any other maker/model on the market (if you own a phablet or a tablet, Breffo also has a bigger version of the Spiderpodium available to accommodate your needs), works with GPS units, digital and action cameras, flashlights … you name it! Salutoo iPhone Sticky Skins And Cases
Salutoo, the German company behind the cool adhesive smartphone skins and cases, just released their latest case collection (SM)ARTPHONE by Salutoo!
Build in collaboration famous artists such as French Graffitti drawer Shuck One, NY based Chris Uphues, California’s David Choate and at last but not the least Mark Kessell, the Salutoo-Art collection brings the world of art into the geeky world of smartphones.

Just as the regular Salutoo skins, the new collection features the same ingenious quality epoxy build which confers your smartphone sticky capabilities. You can easily stick your phone to the bathroom ceramics or mirror, to your car dashboard, to your PC screen’s frame, your fridge or any other flat surface around.

The Salutoo skins are available for various models such as iPhone 4 and 5 series, Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 and even for iPad Mini, come in a range of vibrant models and colors (some of the pictured above) and are available for purchase on Amazon.

Check out the attached video for a hands-on review where I also mount one of the skins on an iPhone 5. Although this was the first time I ever mounted a such skin on a phone and the iPhone also had a screen protector (which did not help my effort!), the entire action took less than two minutes. Another cool thing about the Salutoo skins (which also helped my effort!) is the fact that the skins can be removed as easily as they can be applied.
In the end, if you’re not into mingling with the skins to perfectly apply them on your iPhone, Salutoo also offers classic iPhone cases with the same impressive designs and functionality.

Check the post for more pics and a Youtube video review of the Salutoo cases and skins.
