The Coolest Cooler Around - by Ryan Grepper At coolestkickstarter.com
Coolers (are) were one of those rare items that did not change much over the past 30 years of technological advancements!
But that’s over! Ryan Grepper’s Coolest Cooler is set to bring the classic outdoors chillers to the 21st century! After an earlier unsuccessful crowdfunding try back in December 2013, Grepper improved the Coolest Cooler, added new features, redraw it’s outer design and brought it back to Kickstarter!

As of today (that’s 37 days before the project’s end), the Coolest Cooler pledged $6.9 million US (about 140 times more than what Grepper was looking for)!!! That’s the third most funded project ever (after the Pebble with 10.2 million and the Ouya Video Game Console with 8.6 million) and still has 37 days to go!!! Amazing, isn’t it?

Let’s see what makes The Coolest so cool that everyone wants to have one! Here’s a bullet-list of features:

  • 2 x 5V USB chargers (1A and 2.1A charging power), perfect for charging tablets, smartphones and other USB powered gadgets
  • Removable waterproof Bluetooth speaker so you can enjoy your favorite music with your friends
  • Enjoy cool drinks with the built in ice crushing blender
  • Internal LED light to help you spot your drinks during night parties
  • Easy transportation system with gear tie-down and extra wide wheels for easy moving in sand and difficult terrains
  • Bottle opener
  • Incorporated essentials (reusable plates, a ceramic knive) and a cooler split lid to divide drinks and easily store eyes.
  • At last, but not the least … IT”S COOL!!!

The Coolest Cooler is in project mode at Kickstarter and you can get one for $185 (that’s $115 savings over the future regular retail price). Estimated delivery for February 2015.

Let’s hear you in the comments. What’s your take on the Coolest Cooler? Will you get one?

iPhone 5-5S Custom Case Maker Pro
We featured many cool iPhone cases during the past years. Many of them had some special extra features (ex: Salutoo iPhone Cases, the IN1 Multitool iPhone Case), many were designed to protect your precious gadget from anything life can throw at it (ex: Smartskin iPhone Condom or the Pelikan ProGear Vault), many were simply cool and one case was even made of 24k gold!!!

And, while you may argue about it, regardless how cool a case is, you will still get bored with it in a matter of days, weeks or months (if you are really in love with it)! There’s no way around it!

The iPhone Case Maker on the other hand allows you to change your case every day on the free! Simply find a picture you like (your own pics, magazine covers, newspaper pics, etc…) or print one from the internet, punch it into with the Case Maker Pro, insert it into the case back and that’s it! You’re ready to proudly walk around with your new case. Why am I telling you all these? Because Amazon is getting ready to release their first smartphone to the markets – The Amazon Fire. The Fire is set to release next month (July 25th, 2014) and comes with a 4.7″ screen (1280 x 720 resolution with 315ppi), a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.2GHz processor, Adreno 330 graphics, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage, 4G, Bluetooth, NFC and runs on Fire OS 3.5.0 which is an Android based operating system.Amazon Fire Components View With 3D Dynamic Perspective Explanation

Kablam - The Ultimate Smartphone Screen Protector
A while back we introduced you to the Rhino Shield which is a great way to protect your smartphone screen against any kinds of impacts. The Rhino shield is available for a range of devices and manufacturers such as Apple, Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG and Motorola.

But what if you have a different brand of phone? What if you want to protect your tablet screen or your smart watch? What about your digital camera‘s screen or your MP3?
Kablam is the answer. Kablam is a 0.01-in (0.26mm) thick polymer screen protector (that’s 0.03mm less thicker than the Rhino shield) designed to efficiently protect your gadget’s screen. Apart the thickness (0.03 mmm less than the Rhino Shield) and the price (about half price than the Rhino Shield) what’s really outstanding about the Kablam is that it can be configured to any gadget screen. Breffo Spiderpodium Universal Smartphone Holder - Car Mount On Ventilation System
A while back we featured the Spiderpodium smartphone holder here on CoolPile.com.
Now we’re back with a full hands-on review, a lot of pictures, a complete review Youtube video as well as with some new thoughts about what is deemed to be one of the most versatile smartphone stands and car holders out there.

First, the Spiderpodium is a bit bigger than I expected based on the pictures I checked on the Breffo.com website. And this is good news, because it offers an even better grip and I was hoping! The smartphone holder sports 8 legs covered in a rubbish material which serve both securing the phone as well as positioning the Spiderpodium on almost any type of surface. The smartphone holder works with all phones up to 5″ including iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S series, LG G series and any other maker/model on the market (if you own a phablet or a tablet, Breffo also has a bigger version of the Spiderpodium available to accommodate your needs), works with GPS units, digital and action cameras, flashlights … you name it!
