Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home Remote Controller
As technology advances with big steps and everyday hundreds and thousands of new gadgets are released to the market to make our lives easier, there was time somebody took a closer look at the good old remote controller and bring it into the 21st century!

Don’t get me wrong! There were other remote controllers too that got upgraded to the digital world (take for example the Logitech Harmony Touch), but can we really consider them Smart?

Logitech’s news lines of Harmony remote controls, the Harmony Ultimate Home, not only allows you to control all your media devices from one single controller, but also helps you control your entire home while you’re lying on the couch enjoying our favorite show.

The Harmony Ultimate Home control kit syncs with your iPhone or Android device via Bluetooth 4.0 and allows you to control your home automation system via the free iOs and Android Logitech apps. On the other end, the smart controller connects to various devices in your house using infrared (IR), Bluetooth or Wi-Fi wireless signal allowing you to control all your home automation as well as media devices from one master remote.
Another cool option worth mentioning is the possibility of creating user defined macros (recording and replaying a suite of actions by only touching one button). Let’s say for example that your regular routing for watching a movie is: close the window, dim the light, extend the couch, turn on the TV and the media player, set the picture and audio modes to Movie and set the starting volume to 57. The Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home allows your to record all these actions and re-do them by simply hitting the assigned command button (of course, we assume that your home automation system already allows you to automate all these actions). Cool, isn’t it?

Apple 4.7in iPhone 6 And 5.5 iPhone 6 Plus Smartphones With Retina HD Display
I initially intended this article to be rant longer post about the latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and how Apple made history with its famous smartphone line. But finally, as the net is full of Apple histories and tons of posts pro and contra their latest models, I decided to compile it in a couple of phrases and let go on the subject …

While I love how Apple designs their gadgets with that fancy, metallic finish, I know how reliable and fast their smartphones and tablets are, I envy iOs users for having access first and sometimes exclusively to some apps and games (although this changed a lot lately, Android is keeping the pace very well and it even starts setting the trend) I always stayed on the Android side of the technology!

I always saw Steve Job’s Apple as a trend setter. They always took the hard path (remember … promoting touch screens when all gadgets had buttons, promoting Bluetooth when all headsets had wires, promoting cool and expensive designs and most smartphones were struggling finding a decent finish, reliability and ease of usage when all manufacturers looked to cut costs and quality… and so on) and they were well rewarded for doing so (hey … while they were pushing hard they become the most valued company of the face of Earth!!!).

But things were a bit different yesterday when they announced – [... READ MORE ]
