Moggles Or How To Transform Your Smartphone Into A Virtual Reality Headset
There was a time, not too long ago, when playing with Virtual Reality gadgets such as the Oculus Rift was not a cheap hobby!
But things change, and, as technology advances with big leaps, such cool devices become more and more accessible for reasonable prices!

ALSO CHECK the X4 First Person View Quadcopter By Hubsan Hobby and the Parrot Bebop Drone With Skycontroller Range Extender.

The Moggles is another example of cool gadget that just a few short years back was reserved to fat wallets! The Moggles is a Virtual Reality Console that relies entirely on your smartphone’s processing power and gives you a 200” 3D screen with 360 degrees head tracking, anywhere you want! So how does it work? First grab your iPhone or Android devices and install any of the 120+ apps and games available for Google Cardboard; insert your phone into the Moggles VR Console, mount the headset and you’re ready to roll! The content plays on your phone, the headset ads a bit of visual and audio magic and you find yourself immersed in the beautiful work or virtual reality!

The Moggles work with all iPhone models and Android devices between 4-in and 5.7-in, sport custom made adjustable aspherical lenses for +- two dioptres and IPD, allow Augmented Reality apps usage via the phone camera, feature side openings for earphones and, when not in use, fold into a small sized portable package for easy transportation.
The Moggles are in project mode at Indiegogo and you can secure a pair for an early bird price of $79 US.

Epson Moverio BT-100 And BT-200 Augmented Reality Glasses
Now that the Google Glass project is closed as we know it (hopefully they’ll re-open it with an even more appealing concept), people in love with augmented reality must turn towards other devices.

The Epson Moverio BT-200 is a such cool device which makes augmented reality available to users in a similar way Google Glass did – via a pair of high tech glasses. The Epson Moverio glasses can be used with prescription lenses and sun shades, feature motion sensors a front camera built into the frame as well as a dual screen 3D display for augmented reality applications and an additional UltiMicron full color LCD on the sides for video projections.

More than that, the Epson Moverio come with a Control Unit running on Android 4.0 OS which connects to the glasses via Bluetooth or WiFi and expands the main unit’s capabilities with additional sensors, Micro SD extended storage and a control touchpad. Check the demonstration video in the post (quick note: they’re using the previous BT-100 Moverio model in the demo vid).

The Scary Tram Shelter ... Is This The Coolest Augmented Reality Commercial Or What?
Amazing augmented reality commercial by Sky Austria in cooperation with the FOX series to promote the start of the fifth season of “The Walking Dead ” in Austria!
A tram stop in Vienna’s 7th district was rebuilt via Augmented Reality screens and was haunted by zombies for 2 days! Just like the Pepsi Max Augmented Reality Commercial we featured earlier, the amazing visual effects were obtained by overlapping pre-recorded zombie footage on on a live video stream of the sidewalk where the tram shelter was situated. Check it out for yourself and let me know your thoughts in the comments bellow!

Pepsi Max UK Unbelievable Bus Shelter Shocks London Commuters - LiveForNow
The Unbelievable Bus Shelter is cool Pepsi Max UK advertising campaign that uses Augmented Reality (AR) to impress the targeted users – just as the LG Meteor Prank Advert we featured in the past did.

A team of wise tech replaced a Central London bus station side panel with a HD screen, giving the illusion of a see-through display. So whatever happened in front of the bus station continued on the side screen … and the results were unbelievable. Check out people’s reactions … Amazing!

LG Meteor Prank - LG Commercial Advertising 4K UHD Lechnology
Here’s a cool way LG decided to advertise their latest UHD (Ultra HD) TV’s.
They set up an interview room, placed a 84-in LG UHD TV where the room window was supposed to be and played some city screenshots. But wait, in the middle of the interview, the sky starts to burn …
I hate to ruin the clip and tell you what happens further. Check out the vid to see how this cool prank ends ….
