The Razer Blade is the younger brother of the Razer Blade Pro we featured earlier.

Razer’s new ultrabook model features an impressive set of specs packed in what they call “The World’s Thinnest Gaming Laptop“. Let’s dive into it and have a closer look at this gaming mean machine:

  • 4th generation (Haswell) Intel® Core™ i7-4702HQ Quad Core running at 2.2GHz (3.2GHz in Turbo mode)
  • 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M graphics
  • 14″ 16:9 ratio screen with 1600x900px resolution
  • 8GB DDR3L RAM running @ 1,600 Mhz
  • Three storage versions: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB SSD
  • 70Wh rechargeable Li-Io battery with compact power adapter
  • Built-in stereo speakers
  • Backlit anti-ghosting keyboard
  • Three USB3 ports
  • HDMI 1.4a

Regarding the overall performance, notes the following FPS results based on testing four resource-hog games:

  • Sleeping Dogs:
    • 1600×900 (laptop screen output) = 42FPS (High Quality, Normal Anti-Aliasing)
    • 1920×1080 (on an external monitor via HDMI) = 31FPS
  • GRID 2:
    • 1600×900 (laptop screen output) = 32FPS (Ultra Quality, 8xMSAA)
    • 1920×1080 (on an external monitor via HDMI) = 26FPS
  • BioShock Infinite:
    • 1600×900 (laptop screen output) = 52FPS (Very High Quality)
    • 1920×1080 (on an external monitor via HDMI) = 39FPS
  • Metro Last Light:
    • 1600×900 (laptop screen output) = 30FPS (Very High Quality, 4xAF, Normal Tessellation)
    • 1920×1080 (on an external monitor via HDMI) = 24FPS
  • Crysis 3:
    • 1600×900 (laptop screen output) = 39FPS (High Quality Settings)
