CreoPop - The Cool Ink 3D Pen

CreoPop UV light 3D Pen - In Action And Close Up View With LCD

Most 3D pens out-there work based on the simple principle of melting material and letting users “draw” layer over layer, building 3D shapes. The ABS or PLA plastics used in conventional 3D pens melt at around 482 degrees Fahrenheit (about 250 degrees Celsius), which makes it difficult to be used in homes, with kids or pets around and requires increased attention in handling them to avoid accidents.

The CreoPop 3D Pen is designed to overcome the downsides of classic 3D pens. While the “drawing” process is similar, the CreoPop uses light sensitive ink which is solidified nu a built-in UV light generator. Other than the obvious safety advantages, the CreoPop is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery which allows it to be used in a cordless way and has the ability to 3D print in multiple colors, based on the used inks.

The ColorPop is in project mode over at Indiegogo and you can secure one at an early bird price f $99 US. The delivery is scheduled for March 2015.
