Copy of Samsung Galaxy NX 4G - The Samsung 20.3MP DSLR Running On Android
While there are biggest Samsung fans (than I am) around, I must admit that Samsung is a company that never ceases to to amaze me by the simplicity of their products and their out-of-the-box thinking. Take for example the Samsung Galaxy NX model (also check the Samsung Galaxy Android Camera (EK-GC100) we featured earlier) – a full DSLR with interchangeable lens that runs on Google’s Android and has access to tens of thousands of photo apps in the Google Play store! But let’s see what’s under the hood:

  • 20.3MP APS-C CMOS Sensor with flash
  • 1/6000 second top shutter speed
  • Fast AF (Hybrid AF System)
  • JPEG, RAW, RAW+JPEG capture and 1920 x 1080 HD video capture @ 30fps
  • Interchangeable Lens compatible with all NX System lenses
  • ISO range from 100 to 25,600
  • 4.8″ LCD touch screen (1.44-million dot resolution)
  • 1.6GHz Quad-core processor + DRIMe IV imaging processor + 2MB RAM + 16GB on board storage
  • Connectivity: GPS, Blutooth 4.0, WiFi, 3G/4G/LTE, NFC/li>
  • Runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 with full access to Google Play store

Cool, isn’t it? Especially when you you can download your favorite photo and sharing aps from Google! There’s only one extra thing I wish Galaxy NX had – and that’s voice calling! But hey, I have to be reasonable here, this is not an iPhone or Android smartphone, this is a full DSLR in all its rights!

Ken Block Gymkhana 7 Wild In The Streets Of Los Angeles - Someone Gave Ken Block a 845HP Mustang And This Is What Happened
Here’s the short story: Ken Block + 845HP 1967 Ford Mustang called Hoonicorn + a ton of insanity + tire smoke + director Ben Conrad (the guy behind the past three Gymkhana videos) + another ton of insanity + more tire smoke = Gymkhana 7

And here goes the long story – after three successful Gymkhanas, Ken Bock (the owner of DC Shoes and Hoonigan) partnered again with director Ben Conrad (also directed Recoil 2 and was the creative lead for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Avengers and Iron Man 3) for for the seventh title of the Gymkhana series: Wild In The Streets Of Los Angeles. The clip shows Ken Block unleashed, driving a 845 horse power, 6.7-liter V8 supercharged 1967 Ford Mustang and drifting on the streets of LA. A crazy amount of insanity, a lot of driving skill, some cool panoramas of the empty streets of LA, a couple of Police cars involved in the Gymkhana and a lot of tire smoke make this clip the coolest one of the series. Check it our and let me know in the comments bellow.

I also embedded bellow Ken Block‘s first 6 Gymkhanas in case you missed them!

BioLite Wood Burning Campstove With USB Charger
The BioLite Campstove is a cool multifunctional device designed to help campers cook a quick meal and … charge their iPhone or Android smartphones!
The devices works on renewable biomass (twigs, pinecones, wood pellets, you know, the regular stuff you find on the ground in the woods!!!) and has an output of 2W @5V (max continuous), up to 4W @5V on it’s peak. In plain English an output power of 2W @ 5V means close to the same power as a PC USB plug (a 20 minutes charge will allow an iPhone up to 45-60 minutes of talk time). It’s not the fastest charge in the world, but still, I’d be glad to have it with me when outdooring for a couple of days, away of regular electric power sources.
